It's a whole new world! I actually enjoyed throwing that 56 for distance as I was relatively good at it (like you), but the WOB was a whole new world for me as you can spin with that 42 WAAAAAYY easier than a 56. The masters has actually become pretty competitive and there's a couple times where the master winner would have won the B class and been top three in the A's that I've been to. At the same time, you can have mixed bag and I have a bad habit of throwing to the calibur of my competition, so continue to push yourself.

As a side note: I'm actually throwing more A's as I get older. This isn't a knock on the guys I throw against, but I've been to some masters where I won ever event and was never really challenged and so when I see that's the case I switch to A's as I want to be pushed (Des Moines being an example) and it made me feel good to get 3rd in the A's and win a couple of events (actually, you throw out the stone and I would have won in Des Moines). I am still improving each year and I'm 45 so you can still make improvements. I say that as you don't want to think, I'm a master, put it in cruise control. Still progress to be made! Thom
